Catherine Correa is a Colombian Brooklyn based award-winning educator physical theater dancer, actress, movement and acting consultant and stage/ film writer. In her extensive career as a performer, she merges cinematic arts, dance, and theatre, highlighting surrealism and humor in her storytelling.
Ms. Correa has participated in international programs with performance development, creative movement, and theater production. She has applied her expertise to the advancement of global theaters, performers, and workshops in South America and the US in venues such as: La MaMa ETC, Bric, Lincoln Center, Joyce Theater , Joe’s Pub, Abrons Art Center, EMPAC, The Highline, Teatro Colon, Teatro Municipal Enrique Buenaventura, Teatro La MaMa , Luis A. Ferre Performing Arts Center among others.
Ms. Correa continuously researches the connection of the audience with the performer in the realm of the psyche and the unconscious, creating a unifying journey and embracing the full spectrum of what it means to be a human.
